DESCRIPTION:
A new 230 bed student accommodation development sited in the residential area of Kelvinhaugh Street in Glasgow’s west end.
INVOLVEMENT:
CHALLENGES:
The site was bounded on three sides by existing multi storey residential properties. One of the neighbouring properties to the site was a Grade A listed sandstone tenement dating back to the 1850s.
The programme to complete design work and construct the development in time for the university semester was very tight, this required a short design period and both planning permission and building warrant.
